Lazy Bum

I’ll admit it, I’m lazy.  Last night I was tired so I went to bed at 9:30.  This morning I was tired so even though Hubby got up with the kids and made them all waffles from scratch, and even came upstairs and asked me if I wanted to “join the family for breakfast,” I said, “no” and slept in until 10:30.  And yes, that is 13 hours of sleep.  After that I came downstairs to eat some disgusting cereal with blueberries and nonfat milk (I have stopped eating sugar for the time being because I ate all of Hubby’s chocolate he bought for his Sunday School class, bought him more and ate all of that too).  I realized that Josh was out shoveling the two+ feet of snow covering our driveway, the girls were watching Barney, and the boys were playing outside, so I decided to lay on the couch for just a minute.  That minute turned into two hours.  I eventually emerged from the couch to make the girls lunch and put them down for a nap.  I even planned on organizing the boys’ room.  Instead I ended up helping Josh shovel the berm (he had already done the rest of the driveway) but I at least did something productive.   Now it’s 1 a.m. so I’m already ahead of the game for tomorrow (today) since there’s church in the morning and I can’t possibly get 15 hours of sleep again. So I guess I’m not so lazy after all.  Right?  Right??

  1. I *WISH* I could get 13 hours of sleep! Oh, that sounds heavenly!

OTOH, if you consider yourself a lazy bum, then I’m right there with you, lol! I blame the weather! 😉

  2. Do you have mono? Or have you had your hormone levels checked? Sometimes women are very hard on ourselves and are too busy caring for everyone else to notice that something is wrong.
